Moisturizing, antiseptic or healing, honey has been recognized for centuries for its numerous virtues. But it is not the only treasure produced by bees. The hive is full of other elements just as wonderful for our food, our health and our skin. This is what we call Apitherapy and Apidermatology. Let’s discover these miraculous products whose benefits we use in our natural dermocosmetic care.width= Royal jelly, or bee’s milk, is made by honeybees. The larvae feed mainly on this whitish nectar at birth, but it is then the only food of the queen throughout her life, hence its qualification as royal. This jelly is very precious because the bees only produce the quantity necessary to maintain their hive. Rich in nutrients such as minerals, amino acids, vitamins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids, royal jelly is the secret of longevity. Queens live 50 times longer than worker bees! width=

Propolis is not produced by bees. They collect this resinous plant material from conifers or from the buds of certain trees to maintain the hive. It allows to seal cracks, to smooth the walls and to fight against humidity and therefore the formation of mold. The bees use its aseptic properties to prepare the cells for the laying of the queen. Finally, propolis is also used to mummify foreign bodies to avoid any microbial contamination. It is essentially composed of resin, wax and essential oils. Propolis can be used to soothe sensitive throats in winter and as a mouthwash thanks to its antiseptic properties. It is necessary to be careful in case of cutaneous use because propolis has a recognized allergic power. This is why it is not used in Bee Nature and Babee Nature products.
width=Pollen is collected during the foraging of flowers. It is one of the bees’ favorite meals! They collect it in balls and store it hermetically with the help of propolis. It is composed of proteins, minerals, trace elements and many vitamins. Consume it as a food supplement: rich in nutrients and a real source of energy, it will be your best ally to keep in shape.

Honey is the first medicine in the world! It is the main food of bees. It is made by bees from the nectar of flowers. It is then absorbed and transformed several times to obtain the ideal honey. This honey will then be stored in the cells where it will be dried by the fanning bees which use the beating of their wings. Composed of water, sugars, and more than 180 nutrients (minerals, trace elements, B vitamins, etc.), its virtues are numerous: healing, moisturizing, soothing, nourishing, sebum-regulating, antiseptic, antioxidant. Ideal as food and for your skin! It is for all these benefits that we have made it the flagship ingredient of our natural dermocosmetic care.width= Finally, beeswax does not have any real nutritional interest although it is edible. However, it is used in many industries and particularly in the cosmetics industry. It forms a light protective film and allows to prolong the hydration. We use it for its properties in our Repair Balm, our Lip Care and our Diaper Rash Balm. The products of the hive are thus real treasures of nature. Make the most of these little marvels by choosing organic products, in order to avoid pesticides and pollutants. The organic charters also guarantee a great respect for bees and the environment. This is the choice we have always made, with the addition of honey from fair trade in partnership with Oxfam.
